Bali Hong-Kong : Last step before coming back

Snifff!!!

Indonesie : From Java to Gilis

First real step in Indonesia: Yogjakarta, with is bird market.

On the way to visit Borobudur temple, we spend a few minutes to watch this still activate volcano.

Borobudur is a really impressive temple, with no equivalent in all the temple we had already seen.

No this is not a alien in is UFO. In every stupa there was a buddha or buddistava hidden, I never seen the difference.

Every part of the temple was full of stupas, even the walls.

A new buddhist learner, coming for have a meditation lesson.

Lisa 1m51 vs the temple.

We also seen the rambanan temple, but because of a earthquake two years ago, most parts of the temple were closed.

After half an hour walking in the fog, we started to see civilisation.

After a few minutes waiting at the top of the Bromo volcano we could see an other volcano rising in the middle of the clouds.

Bromo was still in the myst when we start to climb the numerous steps.

But afte a few minutethe clouds getted down in a white sea.

At the bottom of the step a few poneymen were waiting for lazy walkers who want to get back on a horse twice smaller then themselves.

Around the crater the view started to be clear.

This is a nutella's moment....

And at the bottom of the Bromo volcano was standing a temple. On the way to the volcano we past by near 10m from him but in the myst we didn't even seen is shape.

On the left the smokey Bromo volcano in the middle of a arid plain. I had never imagine to see a landscape like that in Indonesia.

On the right side Caroline, a french girl met in Kuala Lumpur. We are in a back of truck which pick up us for a few kilometers to the next Volcano.

While climbing Igen volcano in the early morning, we cross by lot of workers holding buckets of sulfure stone. We tried to hold them but didn't manage to lift them more then a few centimeters.

In the middle of the crater was standing a blue lake near a sulfure stone mine.

From left to right, Caroline, Lisa, Cecile, Me and Arthur. All french guys roll in hot blankets.

Isn't it a Manouch style.

We leaved Arthur and Cecile at the port to Bali and continue a little more our road with Caroline to Lovina Beach.

As the city was not really interesting, we rent a motorbike to visit around. First step the gigit waterfall.

then we continued to hit the road to see the twin lakes...

... an hindu temple ...

... with a part in the middle of a lake ...

... and then enter the monkey forest.

They were small ones...

... and big ones.

but if the small like the big...

It's not reciprocal.

All our trip was lead by the driver of caroline, wich show us is musical talent in a small step near a balinese coffee factory.

And for finish the day, what is better then a bath in a hot spring.

The second day, I went to Menjangan island to dive, while the girls were watching the sunrise.

But the real purpose of them early morning wake up was to see the dolphins.

As we were in a volcano mood, we made a new ascencion with a german guy found on the way: Daniel.

Daniel, the one on the left, decided after this beautifull sunrise to follow us to our next step: the Gili island.

Okay it's not as big as the volcano but look dangeroos too, isn't it?

Pink man ready to flight at the rescue...

On the way to gilis we made a short step at the biggest temple in Bali.

After the temple we took a boat for cross the 25km to Lombok. And believe us or not but the boat made the trip in more than five hour. So at the and the blue of the sea was quiet boring.

As the boat travel was to long, the travel agency let us sleep in them office for night untill we getare morning boat to Gili Trawagan. In the morning we started our day with a balinese coffee...

... just before taking a small but faster boat to our paradise island.

As we were more under the water, we didn't took to much picture of the island. Just a few pictures of the sunset...

and one or two on the beach.

But between the day and the night the island change complety of atmosphere. Finish the clam of the sea for divers and snorklers. Welcome mushrooms partys.

On the gilis we met again Arthur and cecile. At total 6 french and a german. For the ones who wonder who is the sixth: let me introduce you antoine, the guy in red.

After a few days of partys and underwater watching, we get a boat back to Bali with Arthur and Cecile. Daniel came back to germany one day before and Caroline stayed one more day on this paradise island.

Arrived in Bali we leaved Arthur and Cecile wich had to change their flight in Denpensar, and made our way to Tulamben.

As you see the shore of Tulamben isn't really beautifull, but if you put your head under the water, you can see a beautifull Wreck of the Uss Liberty ship wich is full of fauna and history.

Arrived in Ubud in the afternoon, we already booked a spectacle with rythm, dance and fire...

fore and after each scene a priest bless the actors and the theatre.
